Clear Medical Network “Social Medicine” Guidelines
In an effort to offer a framework that encourages engagement in Social Medicine, we have instituted the following policies and disclaimers covering all members and readers of our Social Medicine forums.
Before joining, observing, or engaging in activity on a related Social Medicine forum, please read the policies as well as terms and conditions below. If you do not agree with the Terms and Conditions of Use, do not use the websites or forums hosted by Clear Medical Network.

Definitions
Social Medicine forum: Social Medicine forum refers to any facebook page or group, Linkedin group, twitter account, blog, or similar online forum that is managed or facilitated by the Clear Medical Network for the advancement of the healthcare industry, quick dissemination of medical information, and the improvement of peer support through the use of social media.
Member: A member is considered someone who likes, joins, follows, subscribes, comments, or otherwise participates in a related Social Medicine forum.
Social Medicine Forum Policies
1. By using the websites or Social Medicine forums hosted by the Clear Medical Network (A part of Clear Medical Solutions, LLC) and/or its various divisions, brands and subsidiaries (collectively referred to as “Clear Medical Network”), you agree to the terms and conditions (found below the policies) and to abide by all policies . If you do not agree with these Terms and Conditions of Use, do not use the websites or forums hosted by Clear Medical Network.
2. Clear Medical Network’s live and online social medicine forums are for medical professionals only. Any participation or membership in these forums by non medical professionals or patients of members is strictly forbidden. Non-compliance will result in removing offending persons or organizations, permanently blocking them, and reporting them to the appropriate parties.
3. These forums do not exist to practice medicine, but are to provide peer support and public information to those in the medical community. Do not message any forum facilitator or member seeking medical advice. Please see your personal doctor for any and all medical advice.
4. Membership in a forum or contact with any forum facilitator or fellow member, in any form, is under the explicit understanding that no doctor-patient, primary care-specialist, or formal consultant relationship exists and none will be formed.
5. A post, comment, status, tweet, or any contribution by any of our forum facilitators or members on our social medicine forums is not a replacement for a doctor visit or formal consult.
6. If you are involved with a medical emergency, please call the designated emergency services system in your region.
7. In an effort to protect the privacy of patients everywhere, we require that no information shall be posted, messaged, or tweeted which would identify a patient. Any patient related questions posed to our social medicine forums may be deleted and reposted by our forum facilitator to provide a double blind safeguard. However, it is the responsibility of each member to maintain their patient’s privacy when making original posts, tweets, or updates.
8. Information communicated on our Social Medicine forums is informal, informational, and is not guaranteed to be factual, unbiased, or helpful. It is up to each professional to use their own professional judgment, and not to rely on information received on our Social Medicine forums.
9. Forum posts, blogs posts, updates, or tweets by our forum facilitators are not medical, legal, ethical, financial, moral, political, or any other form of advice, suggestion, or recommendation.
10. The opinions of our members or forum facilitators are fluid and they have the right to change their position as their knowledge and experiences dictate.
11. Our members and forum facilitators reserve the right to alter or delete any content they have published, owned, or have authored, for any reason.
12. We reserve the right to delete or not approve any communication posted on or towards our social medicine forums, profiles, blogs, websites, etc. that we manage, for any reason.
13. We reserve the right to delete any postings, tweets, updates, or blog articles, for any reason.
14. Replying to, contacting, following, or “friending” of people on any social media sites, blogs, etc. is not an endorsement by Clear Medical Network or our members of the opinion, message, beliefs, or mission of that person, group, or business.
15. The Clear Medical Network and our forum members are required to disclose any/all endorsements when commenting on related patient questions where potential bias or conflict of interest may exist.
16. Violation of these policies may result in removal from forums, permanent ban, and/or reporting to appropriate parties.
Terms and Conditions of Use
By using the websites or Social Medicine forums hosted by the Clear Medical Network (A part of Clear Medical Solutions, LLC) and/or its various divisions, brands and subsidiaries (collectively referred to as “Clear Medical Network”), you agree to the following terms and conditions. Portions of these forums provide users an opportunity to exchange ideas and information. Clear Medical Network has no obligation to screen, edit, or review postings, and the ideas and information posted do not necessarily reflect the views or professional opinion of Clear Medical Network or its members.
While using these forums, you may not post, transmit, or otherwise distribute any material that may be unlawful, obscene, defamatory, threatening, infringing on any copyright or other rights of others, or damaging to software or hardware. You may not advertise, recruit, or solicit on these pages without Clear Medical Network’s express permission. Clear Medical Network reserves the right to monitor any postings and remove any which it considers, in its discretion, to be offensive or otherwise in breach of these Terms and Conditions of Use.
Clear Medical Network reserves the right, which it may or may not exercise, to review, edit, or delete any material that it deems to be inappropriate or in violation of these Terms and Conditions of Use and to deny access to anyone who violates these Terms and Conditions of Use. Notwithstanding the above, clear medical network expressly disclaims any responsibility or liability for any material communicated by third parties through these pages or for any claims, damages, or losses resulting from the use thereof.

These Terms and Conditions of Use shall be construed and enforced in accordance with the laws of the State of Wisconsin. Any action to enforce these Terms and Conditions of Use shall be brought in the federal or state courts located in the State of Wisconsin.

Digital Millennium Copyright Act Compliance
If you believe that any materials posted on the Clear Medical Network forums by others infringe on the copyrights of another party, please contact us. We comply with the provisions of the Digital Millennium Copyright Act applicable to Internet service providers. Your notice must include the following:
